Jippu told Iltalehte that they wanted a small-scale wedding ceremony according to the old-time formula. In other words, the marriage ceremony included a long bridal mass, which included, among other things, communion, a sermon and confession of sins. The marriage was blessed by Jipu’s dear friend, the pastor Arto Antturi.
– We wanted to be there ourselves. That’s why we didn’t want to organize any kind of wedding, because for us it was only the consecration and the blessing of the marriage that mattered, and not so much the party. Maybe you can keep them later if the need requires, the artist said.
Jippu also said that they had known each other for 16 years. They met each other for the first time when Jipu was in his twenties. However, the two did not mate until years later, when Jippu contacted Marko. With the contact, the two started to talk properly and love ignited through music.
– He is a very mature, profound, calm and wonderful guy. Best of all, he has an insane sense of humor: he makes me laugh even when I’m in pain. Marko has made me come alive and believe in life. We are soulmates, the singer described his lover.
