A month ago, Elias Durmaz was ready for the black and yellow club. Now older brother Jimmy Durmaz follows and has signed an agreement over the 2024 season.
– I can’t wait to get started with everything. It is a fantastic feeling to sign for AIK where I feel I can contribute a lot, says Durmaz in the press release.
“Incredible amount of experience”
It is just over ten years since Durmaz last played in the Allsvenskan, then for Malmö FF. Since 2012, he has played in several Turkish clubs, Toulouse and Olympiacos. Most recently he belonged to Karagümrük, but he joins AIK on a free transfer.
– We are very happy that Jimmy has chosen to continue his football career with us in AIK. Jimmy is a natural leader with an incredible amount of experience who will be useful both on the field and in the dressing room and is the type of replacement we were looking for after Sebastian Larsson put his shoes on the shelf, says acting sports director Manuel Lindberg.
