More than seven months after the Ministry of Culture (SC), its owner Alejandra Frausto and the lawyer Eréndira cruzvillegas make it known that there was already a formal agreement with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), a government body that already had the project in its hands to build a new Julio Jiménez Rueda Theater on the same property, the works they do not report further progress, only format change.
This Thursday, in a virtual press conference, Cruzvillegas He said that “the secretary has been following the case closely and sharing with them that we are in the process not of an agreement, but a Construction Memorandum of Understanding, since various works will be carried out on the property, it went to a Treasury fund, which is seeing the formal viability of all the spaces and extensions that this architectural design will have ”.
He indicated that he is currently the review process in the Ministry of Finance with the Ministry of Culture: “In this dimension, the procedures are being carried out, both with the fiscal instance, which is the instance that authorizes the funds for this task, as well as the various actions related to the design and adequate space to preserve the agreement, so that this cultural space is realized ”.
Cultural spaces affected by the pandemic

In this way, the fate of the museum is assured as long as the collection is preserved and the property has a destination of the colonial monument is ratified ”.
