Composer, conductor and music producer Radzimir Dębski has been delighting with his work for years. He won the competition for the remix of Beyonce’s single, beating over 3,000 creators from 25 countries. He became famous for combining the history of American and Polish hip-hop with a symphony orchestra. He invited Portuguese singer Maro to his latest project. All this happened during the festival in Jastarnia.
Jimek: a musical surprise
Radzimir Dębski, known for combining the history of hip-hop with a symphony orchestra, decided to take on a new challenge. This time, instead of a 70-person orchestra, he decided to solo performance. In his new project he invited a Portuguese singer to collaborate Many. The artist emphasized in the Dzień Dobry TVN material that her voice is the most beautiful in the world of music for him. An innovative approach to creating new sounds and a constant search for new solutions makes his work incredibly exciting.
– Do you ever feel like you want to move out of Poland because it annoys you? I would like to warn you against this idea right away, because there are a huge number of things that you will miss in a second and regret this decision. That’s exactly how I feel. I decided to check what would happen if I didn’t have a 70-person orchestra and I was completely alone.. There are two parts to this project. The first is when I’m alone, and the second is when I can invite her to this crazy set-up and do something together – explained the composer.
An extraordinary duo on the Polish scene
The Jimek x Maro project is more than just music. This is a real revolutionwhich involves creating live music using various instruments and technologies. Jimek emphasized that his goal is to create unlimited possibilities for multiplying each of his own ideas. This allows him to create unique, multi-layered music that surprises and delights.
– I didn’t know much about his work. It’s a shame because when I found out more, I thought he was incredible. I thought I was all for collaborations, it would be cool to meet someone new and work with someone I didn’t know before. It’s a project not only about music, but also about running. He himself probably doesn’t really know what will happen on this stage and that’s exciting. – admitted Maro, singer and songwriter.
