Jim Carrey stops parodying the new US president Joe Biden Saturday Night Live. The actor announced this on Saturday Twitter.
According to the comedian, he was never intended to play the role for a long time. “Even though my term was only meant for six weeks, I was thrilled to be chosen by you as SNL president, the highest rank in comedy.”
Carrey says he would have liked to continue with the role, but that it is time to pass the baton to someone else. “I would love to continue as Biden was the winner and I was the winner shit did great. However, I am just one of many in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens! “
Carrey has not been seen in the program in recent weeks. Alec Baldwin, who played President Donald Trump on the show in recent years, has also indicated that he will stop his role.
