This Sunday morning, the presenter and content creator Jill Vandermeulen, alias Silent Jill on social networks, surprised and moved its subscribers. Absent from Instagram for a few days, the young woman had to face a tragedy that no one on earth would like to experience. In a post unveiled at dawn, she explains ” the reason of [son] absence ».
“I have always said that we have to break the silences that our society inflicts on us. So, before starting from scratch, it was crucial for me to confide in you. We have lost our future baby ”, she announces bluntly. Before continuing: “Perfect blood tests, classic symptoms, a great first echo with a little heart beating, no negative signs. At no time did I think that the rest of this beautiful new adventure would turn into a nightmare. “
“The world is crumbling around me […] The children will be devastated ”
It’s Tuesday July 20 that the host and her companion, the artistic manager Simon Gérard, have learned the terrible news. That day, Jill had an appointment with her doctor for a second ultrasound. Mom of three (Bella June, 11, James, 8, and Jude, 6), she thought it was going to be a little routine visit, having experienced “Perfect pregnancies”.
“I’m annoyed Madam, the pregnancy has progressed well, but I no longer see the little heart beating”, then announced his gynecologist. “Naked, legs apart, a probe in the vagina, my world is collapsing around me,” she explains in her post. “In shock, I feel like the minutes go on forever and I don’t say a word. And then I crack, I panic, I burst into tears, still naked on this table with that damn mask on my mouth that prevents me from breathing between each sob. ‘Oh my god, kids, they’re going to be devastated’: that was the first thought I had. “
” I have done something wrong ? Flooding ? Moving ? ”
Jill then asked countless questions. In the midst of a move upset by the recent floods, the 33-year-old mother wondered if she had committed ” something bad “. Unfortunately, she will not have “Never any answers” to his questions.
She concludes: “Now we just have to move forward, fear in the stomach, start over and hope that our family never goes through this again. Our story is the story of 20% of women. Thanks in part to social networks, we dare to talk about it, to break taboos. I was just talking about this in my design video. So what could be more normal than to deliver myself to you. Talking about it a lot around me was saving. I had a surge of benevolence from so many women and men around me. And it helped me so much. Not an inappropriate remark. The proof that I am surrounded by beautiful people. I will tell you more about it in an open-hearted video, which I hope will help other women who are going through this immense sadness. “
