Jiatai Advances Airbus A350 Seating with New 10-Abreast Configuration
Jiatai Aircraft Equipment Co., Ltd., a prominent player in the aviation seating industry and a unit of AVIC Cabin Systems, is set to enhance the passenger experience aboard the Airbus A350. Under a newly signed cooperation agreement at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, Jiatai will optimize its economy class seats to accommodate a new 10-abreast configuration for the Airbus A350 New Production Standard (NPS). This innovation promises to significantly increase passenger capacity, allowing airlines to cater to a larger number of travelers efficiently.
A New Era for A350 Seating
The cooperation agreement represents a strategic effort to augment the seating layout of the A350’s enhanced cabin. By adding one additional seat per row, airlines can potentially increase their aircraft’s capacity by up to 30 seats. With this configuration, the A350 NPS moves from a traditional 9-abreast layout to a more densely packed 3-4-3 arrangement.
