Jewish Protests in California Against Israel’s Massacre of Gaza Children: 300 People Shut Down Legislature

California: Protests by Jewish believers in California, America, to protest against Israel’s massacre of children in Gaza. Around 300 people wearing black shirts protested in the legislative gallery during the session of the California Legislature.

The protestors wore shirts printed with slogans such as Free Palestine, Cease Fire Immediately and No Massacre in Our Name. Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli banners were displayed from the upper gallery towards the Chamber of Deputies. They hung banners saying that the US should not pay for the Gaza massacre and that the massacre should not be carried out in our name.

As soon as the assembly session began, a protest song with the lines ‘Free Palestine, Not in Our Name, Let Gaza Live’ was sung by the crowd. With this, the assembly session was adjourned within seconds. The authorities informed that the assembly is breaking up today and will meet tomorrow.

The Associated Press news agency reported that church members left their seats after this. As the officers turned off the lights in the chamber, the protesters raised their phone flashlights and continued the protest chant. β€œWe are California Jews. Members of the Assembly, join us in demanding a ceasefire…” protestors demanded.
