Great atmosphere at the two-day summer party as a replacement for the Jetzendorfer Frautag
Jetzendorf – After the Jetzendorfer Frautag, which is the largest one-day fair in Bavaria, was not allowed to take place again this year due to Corona, the Jetzendorfer Postwirt decided not to accept the cancellation of the traditional festival. Instead, he invited to a two-day summer party in his beer garden. The focus here was on music and singing, in compliance with the hygiene protection regulations.
On Saturday evening, the many guests experienced the hot rhythms of two well-known bands. “Ois Drin” started in the late afternoon. This four-piece band delighted with rock’n’roll and party music. Hours later, the “Road Runners”, a group of five musicians from Hilgertshausen, Jetzendorf and Steinkirchen, were cheered on. They even managed to get a number of guests to dance late in the evening. And when the Spider-Murphy song “Scandal in the restricted area” rang out, the first music enthusiasts could no longer sit on their benches. Hans Söllner’s song “Marihuana-Bam” and “Live ist Life” did theirs too. One well-known piece after the other was played without a break until midnight. Even the “Bohemian Dream”, which is otherwise only heard from brass bands, was still heard.
Real Bavarian brass music could then be heard on the afternoon of Women’s Day. The Petershausen brass band, under the direction of Katrin Czerny, made sure of that with marches, polkas, waltzes and boarians. The Petershauser were later replaced by another brass band, namely “De Stoakirchana”, which, under the direction of Stefan Bachl, raised the mood and was not stopped by a brief downpour, but under the large umbrellas for several hours kept playing because the brass music fans persevered.
This band is known for Bavarian-Bohemian brass music at a high level. The women’s song “Give a drink because it’s women’s day” was particularly well received.
So that the children did not have to go empty-handed because of the officially canceled Women’s Day, the post host had set up a large bouncy castle to let off steam. None of the visitors to this two-day summer festival could hide the joy of finally being able to meet again. Of course, Corona was also the number one topic at the beer tables, because there is fear of a fourth wave that could then destroy all the freedoms again.
