TIMESINDONESIA, SURABAYA – PUBG Tournament at the end of the year it was re -held. This time it is’Battle of Champion 2021‘ hosted by JETEX which is a gaming device product brand from JETE Indonesia in collaboration with Doran Gadget, and SanDisk.
The event was held offline at the Amplitheatre Hall, Pakuwon City 2nd Floor, Surabaya.
The opening ceremony was conducted by Jhonny Thio Doran as CEO of JETE Indonesia, followed by Arifurrohman as Product Manager of JETEX, and Soetrisno Poerwadi, Sales Manager of SanDisk.
Forms of Support for Local Esports Development
The holding of the ‘Battle of Champion 2021’ tournament is also a form of support from the organizers for the development of esports in Indonesia, especially in the Surabaya and surrounding areas.
“Surabaya is one of the cities with a fairly good development of esports. Therefore, we want to provide support through this tournament,” said Jhonny Thio Doran, Sunday (11/21/2021).
“In addition, we continue to innovate in presenting the best gaming device products that can be used by gamers on JETEX products,” he added.
Even though the event was held offline, the organizers still implemented strict health protocols.
“For the course of the event, it is clear that we pay attention to health protocols considering that we are still in a pandemic period. For example, implementing 3M for participants and organizers who have vaccinated,” said Dinda Soraya as the head of the organizers as well as the Marketing Manager of JETEX.
Participant Enthusiasm
The enthusiasm of the participants of the ‘Battle of Champion 2021’ tournament is arguably high. This has been seen since registration opened on November 3-17, 2021, and all 20 squad slots have been filled. Each of these squads consists of four people and is not a pro player.
The participants will compete in four rounds with Third Person Perspective (TPP) mode. Meanwhile, the maps played in this tournament are Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Erangel. Later, the match winner is determined with the highest total points consisting of Place Points and Kill Points.
Twenty participants who will compete in the ‘Battle of Champion 2021’ include EOG, ESJV SR, SEMUT YOI, EAST GENETIC, SKY WATER STAR, SEMUT OXYGEN ESPORTS, and Prayers for Parents.
The other teams are JKR STARS, GOLDEN FIRE NEWBORN, GOLDEN FIRE GG, JUPELUKA, UTG ZONA, GASRAK, HORE, NIAN ESPORTS, COME BACK, KLS Rora, KLS Ronin, WATERPARK TEAM, and Sleek Gimang.
Prizes Up for grabs
This PUBG tournament requires a total prizepool of IDR 7,000,000. Not only that, participants or squads will get esport jerseys, vouchers, and snacks. All participants participating in this tournament will get an e-Certificate.
For prizes, for the winners besides getting cash, participants will also get a set of gaming equipment such as headsets and headphones. The details are:
The first winner gets a prize of IDR 1,000,000 plus 4 units of JETE G2 gaming headphones for each member of the first winning team plus a trophy and certificate.
The second place winner will receive a prize of IDR 500,000 plus 4 units of JETE G3 gaming headphones for each member of the second winning team plus a trophy and certificate.
While the third winner in the eventBattle of Champion 2021‘ which was organized by JETEX, received a prize of IDR 250,000 plus a JETE HX8 gaming headset in the amount of 4 units for each member of the third place team plus a trophy and certificate.
