NEW YORK – A computer that allegedly caught fire inside a JetBlue plane prompted the evacuation of all its passengers soon after landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Christmas Eve.
As reported by port authorities to NBC New York, the accident occurred aboard JetBlue 662 aircraft, which arrived from the island of Barbados to New York, around 21 on Friday.
After landing, authorities said some passengers reported the fire to flight attendants, which prompted authorities to evacuate the plane through the emergency exits.
In all, 133 passengers were evacuated, seven of whom suffered minor injuries. No people were taken to the hospital.
The cause of the fire remains to be ascertained.
