Jessie Reyez shares a new collaboration with one of the biggest names in rap.
The Canadian singer hinted that she would be releasing new music with Lil Wayne, posting on Instagram and X “heard a Toronto shordie got 1 wit @LilTunechi “, and tagging Wayne. She also shared a short clip of the track, which features Reyez and Wayne jamming over a slow guitar riff and crushed drum fill.
Based on the preview, it looks like the song will be released on August 23. Billboards have also been spotted promoting the upcoming collaboration.
Reyez hasn’t released a full-length album since Yessie in 2022. But she’s been churning out singles and collaborations since then, including this year’s Big Sean-assisted “Shut Up,” a sultry trap track.

The new single arrives just before Reyez is honoured at Billboard Canada’s Women in Music celebration on September 7, where she will receive the Trailblazer Award.
The ceremony will also feature Alanis Morissette, who will be taking home the Icon Award. The star-studded event will honor previously announced honorees Allison Russell, LU Kala, The Beaches and more artists yet to be announced.
