Jessica Watkins, NASA’s First Black Female Astronaut to Join the ISS

INDOZONE.ID – NASA announced that one The astronaut Jessica Watkins will be a member of the upcoming SpaceX Crew-4 mission, which will launch in April next year.

Not only that, Jessica is also listed as the first black woman to join a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) as a crew member.

Later, Jessica will join 2 other NASA astronauts and 1 astronaut from Italy for a 6-month mission in the orbital laboratory.

Jessica herself started her career at NASA as an intern. He is a geologist who grew up in Colorado and attended Stanford University for a bachelor’s degree.

Jessica then earned her doctorate at the University of California, Los Angeles by taking the concentration of landslides on Mars and Earth.
