“Digital intelligence is very basic for every child and adult to understand. This is part of skill literacy because it is different from the previous era,” said Jessica in the ISLTF Education Festival 2021 webinar, Friday (23/7/2021).

“On the contrary, the problem of digital intelligence can make it easy for someone to share fake news because they don’t check first whether the information is valid or not,” he continued.

Especially the case of cyber crime that is rampant lately. Like many online loan companies (pinjol) that offer loans with easy terms, but actually the interest is high.

“Many of them are also deceived by loans that offer loans quickly, but in fact they have not been registered with the OJK (Financial Services Authority),” he said.

Jessica then explained 3 aspects of digital intelligence, first, namely finding and consuming digital content. This can be done actively or passively, and can be done on various media platforms.

Next is to create digital content, where anyone can create digital content. It’s just that they choose to keep it private, or want to be published as shared via email or social media.

Lastly, is to share the content. This can be communicated to many people. The process is just as easy as pressing the ‘share’ button or forwarding a message.
