At 09.45, a student at Jessheim high school is said to have been stabbed in the neck with a knife, according to the police.
The police were quickly on the scene, and according to the RB reporter, there is a large police presence at the school.
– We have control over another student who has been identified as the perpetrator. The victim does not appear to be seriously injured, police say.
The student is said to have been stabbed twice, once in the throat/neck and another time in the arm. The victim is taken to Ahus.
Looking for the knife
The stabbing is said to have taken place in a classroom at the school.
– Based on the victim’s explanation, it must have happened without reason. We have not yet received any explanation from the suspect, the operations manager of the eastern police district, Gisle Sveen, told RB.
Police are working to interview victims, suspects and witnesses at the scene.
– Were there more witnesses to the incident?
– Since it happened in the middle of school hours and inside, we take that as a starting point as it is now, and we have staff to investigate further.
– A small knife must have been used. We have not found this one yet, and we are working to map where it is, says Sveen.
RB has been in contact with principal Christian Andersen at Jessheim high school, who says they are working to get more information about the incident.
The case has been updated.
