A city in New Jersey recalled an event that occurred more than 20 years ago and is related to the Patron Saint of the Americas.
According to Jersey City, which shared the investigation at the Public Library of this city, in May 1998 a strange event occurred in a supermarket in the center of the city, known as La Conga.
Here, the city said, there was an apparition that people at the time believed to be Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The city noted that on that date the silhouette of the Virgin of Guadalupe allegedly appeared in one of the business’s meat freezers. The image allegedly did not disappear from the glass even though they tried to clean it and leave the freezer door open.
Because of this, Jersey City said, worshipers of all ages began to arrive with the “hope to see the apparition” and everything was recorded in the media at the time. The event lasted about 24 hours, according to the city.
So far no one has been able to explain what happened, the city said.
