We all know that there are some ‘wrong’ jokes in children’s films, but here the 2007 animated film Bee Movie a little too far in. That gives Jerry Seinfeld, the screenwriter, producer, and protagonist of the film, to date.
Bee Movie is about a bee named Barry B. Benson (voiced by Seinfeld). During his adventures, he falls in love with a florist named Vanessa Bloome (voiced by Renée Zellweger). The two fall in love, but Seinfeld now sees that maybe that went a bit too far.
Excuses
During The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Seinfeld apologized for the ‘subtle sexual aspect’ of Bee Movie. So he begins by saying: “That was not the intention“.
“However, after the movie came out, I realized that the relationship between Barry and Vanessa isn’t really suitable for children… The idea that a bee feels something for a human and vice versa has no place in children’s entertainment.“.
