Jeroen van Inkel has to stop radio show due to persistent voice problems | NOW

Jeroen van Inkel did not make it to the end of his show on NPO Radio 2 on Saturday morning due to persistent voice problems. The DJ announced halfway through the program that he could not continue and was replaced by Giel Beelen.

Van Inkel says he has been struggling with voice problems since December and was replaced by Beelen for several weeks in February. He explained to his listeners that the voice problems are unpredictable and that things go better one day than the next. “I thought I could have presented the show today, but it’s too bad.”

The DJ says he ended up on a roller coaster and began to wonder if he would continue to sound like this for the rest of his life. “You’re going to worry and wonder if it will ever go away.”

“Luckily I got a good message from the ENT doctor last week. The bad news was they found something on my vocal cords, but the good news is they can remove it.” Van Inkel says this will happen soon.
