DEN BOSCH – The Jeroen Bosch Hospital (JBZ) has two new expertise centers! After a positive assessment by the Collaborating Top Clinical Hospitals, the Pelvic Floor Center and the Treatment of Diabetic Foot can now also be added to the list of top clinical expertise centers of the JBZ. Positive reviews have also been given again for the Memory Center, Reproductive Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine for children. The JBZ now has a total of ten STZ top clinical expertise centers.
Patients in the JBZ can count on top clinical care. The JBZ has been affiliated with the Collaborating Top Clinical Hospitals as a training hospital since 2017. This means that demonstrably distinctive work is being done on future-proof and high-quality medical care. This is done by continually moving ahead with patient-oriented top clinical care, innovation, training, knowledge sharing and scientific research.
STZ expertise centers of the JBZ
In total, the JBZ now has ten expertise centers recognized by STZ with a top clinical function, namely; the Expertise Center for Cognition (Memory Center), Clinical Pharmacology, Breast Center, Reproductive Medicine, HPV Cervical Cancer Center, Expertise Center for Lifestyle Medicine for Children, MS Center, IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), the Pelvic Floor Center and Treatment of Diabetic Foot. This means that people in these positions receive high-level care from passionate professionals, according to clear criteria. This includes experience, specialization, treatment of rare diseases and collaboration between different doctors.
Reassessment
To ensure that an STZ top clinical expertise center maintains its quality, a reassessment takes place every four years. A hospital-wide assessment also takes place every five years. This recently took place in October and with a very positive advice from the STZ committee, the hospital-wide STZ extension is expected to become official in December.
