Fifty-two years old Jeremy Renner announced that he had returned from the hospital via a comment on Twitter. He stated that he enjoyed watching an episode of Mayor of Kingstown at home with his family, in which he stars, writes The Guardian newspaper.
The actor, known among other things for Avengers: Endgame and other films of the American company Marvel Studios, was hospitalized on New Year’s Day after was crushed by his six-and-a-half ton snowplow while trying to clear snow from a driveway near his home in Nevada.
The machine took off while Renner was outside the vehicle. According to the local sheriff, Renner was injured after trying to get back into the driver’s seat. Renner suffered blunt force trauma to the chest that required two surgeries, his spokeswoman said.
Renner, who was nominated twice for an Oscar, is best known for his role as Clint Barton, or Hawkeye, from the American company Marvel Studios. He starred in several Avengers superhero films and the Hawkeye spin-off TV series.
Renner also made a name for himself with his performances in the films of the Mission: Impossible series. He was nominated for an Oscar for his lead role in the Iraq war drama Death is Waiting Everywhere and his supporting role in the film The City.
