He just had to help a family member stuck in the snow. Then the snow machine turned over on him.
American actor Jeremy Renner (51) posted this photo of himself from his hospital bed after becoming critical injured in connection with the snow plow on New Year’s weekend.

Renner underwent surgery and is in intensive care following injuries to his chest and legs, according to a statement on Tuesday.
His condition was therefore described as critical but stable.
According to Deadline Renner was airlifted to the hospital from his home near the Mt. Rose ski mountain in Tahoe, a half-hour drive from the city of Reno in the state of Nevada.
The area was hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve and 35,000 homes lost power, according to the local newspaper Reno Gazette-Journal.
Under a press conference on Wednesday night Now Norwegian, the Washoe County Sheriff said they so far suspect the crash in which Renner was injured was purely an accident.
– We do not think that Mr. Renner was under the influence at all and we think this is a tragic accident, says Sheriff Darin Balaam.
He also says investigations so far have revealed the actor tried to free a car driven by a family member that had gone into the snow.
– After freeing the car, he got out of the snow machine to talk to the familiar. Then the 63-ton machine began to tip over. Renner tried to get back into the driver’s seat, and that’s when he was hit by the car.
The sheriff says an eyewitness said he saw Renner enter the car before it disappeared from view until it stopped turning.
Renner was taken to hospital and operated on for leg and upper body injuries.
Balaam says they impounded the snow machine to examine it for mechanical faults.
The 51-year-old actor has been nominated for an Oscar twice, for roles in the films ‘Hurt Locker’ and ‘The Town.’
She also starred in the 2013 film ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ which was directed by Norwegian contralto Tommy Wirkola.
Renner also became known for his portrayal of superhero Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, in the Marvel films and series of the same name.
