Jeremy Clarkson (62) has recently stormed around, especially after his particularly sharp article in The Sun. There he wrote, among other things, that he wanted Duchess Meghan (40) publicly humiliated.
Now the British newspaper writes Independent that Amazon has stopped cooperation with the television profile in the wake of the scandalous statements.
Lays flat
The collaboration between Clarkson and Amazon has been in Prime Video with the series “The Grand Tour” and “Clarkson’s Farm”.
The already ordered episodes will be sent as normal – but after they have been sent, the collaboration will be over.
Apologize
The news that the collaboration was halted came on Monday afternoon, just hours after Clarkson took to Instagram to apologize for the article he wrote for The Sun.
There he also claimed that he sent emails directly to Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry (38) to say sorry.
The Brit wrote, among other things, that he hated Meghan:
“Not the way I hate (Scottish First Minister) Nicola Sturgeon or (serial killer) Rose West. I hate her down to the cellular level”.
Clarkson also referred to the TV series “Game of Thrones” and wrote that he lies naked at night and dreams that the Duchess will be forced to walk naked through the streets of British cities while a mob shouts “shame” at her.
Several of Clarkson’s closest people distanced themselves from the sour statements he directed at the duchess, among other things his daughter Emily.
She wrote the following on her Instagram.
– Inhuman
“My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the media’s treatment of women,” the 28-year-old wrote on his Instagram story on Sunday and continued:
“I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything my father wrote about Meghan Markle, and I still support those who are targeted for online hate.”
Set complaint record
In the wake of the controversial article published in The Sun, the newspaper received a number of complaints.
The article should have generated above 17,000 complaints from UK readersand thus set a record.
Clarkson has now complained about the outbursts several times, and the article has been removed by The Sun.
