Jeremiah St. Fair: Injured Dutch Defender’s Struggles and Absence from Five Violins Trophy

Injured and unable to play in the Five Violins Trophy is Jeremiah St. Fair. The Dutch defender will be at the official presentation of the players that make up the squad for the 2023/2024 season, but the injury to his left knee prevents him, as he did a year ago, from starting on an equal footing with the other centre-backs: Sebastián Coates, Luís Neto, João Muniz, Gonçalo Inácio, Ousmane Diomande and Eduardo Quaresma.

The centre-back, whose pass cost €9.75M, has been constantly affected by injuries and last season he played in 32 games – he scored a goal against Estoril -, most of them at an advanced stage of the season. However, on April 13, when he seemed to have consolidated his physical condition, he was injured against Juventus and has not played since.
