[무안=뉴스핌] Reporter Jo Eun-jeong = “I was able to learn the shining spirit of sports by watching an athlete who fell during a short track race get back up and finish the race without giving up. I think it is our role to convey this emotion vividly.”
The Jeonnam Office of Education Youth Reporter Group (hereinafter referred to as ‘Jeon Cheong-gi’) held field training in connection with the ‘2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games’ in the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province from the 19th to the 22nd.

This training was designed to provide youth reporters with the opportunity to develop their public relations capabilities through reporting on the Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games, which will be held from the 19th to February 1st, and to experience various career and advancement programs.
Starting with the opening ceremony, Jeoncheonggi will watch winter sports events that are difficult to see, such as men’s and women’s 1500m short track, curling preliminaries, ice hockey, luge, and ski jumping. It will also provide game results, introductions of notable players, and interesting behind-the-scenes stories from the field. I covered it.
In particular, we conducted planned coverage by meeting with Hwasun Jeil Middle School’s ‘cross country’ student athletes and leaders who are pursuing their dreams in Jeonnam, a wasteland for winter sports. In-depth interviews followed, including the difficulties athletes face while training, as well as support measures to revitalize winter sports.
In addition, they had an interview in English with the foreign players and cheering squad they met at the stadium, and they danced to music and showed the youth of each country coming together as one, giving them a touching experience.
Articles discovered by Jeon Cheong-gi at the site will be published in press releases by each team, including Jeonnam Education Tong, Jeon Cheong-gi’s blog, YouTube, and the National Sports Festival website.
Park Jae-hyun, head of the Physical Education and Health Department, said, “I hope this training will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the public relations capabilities of Jeoncheonggi students.” He added, “We will continue to actively support training and educational activities in connection with various events.”
