Advice on how to select and raise youth

Park Ji-seong (40), a’eternal captain’ who entered the domestic professional football stage as a’adviser’ of Jeonbuk Hyundai, said, “The K-League will try to close the gap with European football.”

Park Ji-sung said this at a press conference inaugurated as a Jeonbuk advisor held at Hyundai Motor Studio in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do on the morning of the 21st.

Park Ji-sung is a’pioneer’ of Korean football who pioneered the European football stage in the 2000s following former Suwon Samsung coach Cha Bum-geun.

Park Ji-sung, who has experienced the advanced European football system for more than 10 years, will serve to advise Jeollabuk-do on the selection, development, scouting, and training system of professional and youth players in the future.

Jeonbuk gave him the title of’advisor (committee)’.

Park, who started his career as an administrator by working as the head of the Youth Strategy Division of the Korea Football Association (KFA) for more than a year from November 2017, is now working on the stage of the K-League in professional football.

Park Ji-sung, who played on the Japanese J-League and European stage, has never played in a domestic professional team.

Park Ji-sung said, “I dreamed of playing in the K-League since I was a high school student. I am grateful that the team that first became active on the domestic stage is Jeonbuk, the best club.”

Commissioner Park goes to the Namhae Field Training Center on the 22nd to have a meeting with the athletes and coaches, and start working in earnest.
