Jakarta –
Having abundant wealth does not necessarily mean someone will always live in luxury. It could be that there are some of them whose lives are quite simple, like that of one of the richest conglomerates in the world, Jensen Huang.
Not long ago, he was caught on camera in a simple appearance eating at a roadside street vendor. Apart from that, he is also widely known as a conglomerate who does not like to show off his wealth.

Even though in the Forbes Real Time Billionaires report, as of Thursday (14/12/2023), Jensen is currently the 30th richest person in the world. He is estimated to have wealth of US$ 42.9 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 664.22 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 15,483 per US dollar).
Please note, Jensen himself is the boss and founder of chip giant Nvidia. Currently, he is recorded as still owning around 3% of the company’s shares, which have been listed on the US stock exchange since 1999.
He founded Nvidia from scratch in 1993 and has served as CEO of the company until now. Under his leadership, Nvidia succeeded in becoming one of the most dominant companies in the chip and AI industry with a market value of almost US$ 1 trillion this year.
In fact, the company is currently very well known for producing various kinds of semiconductors such as GPUs (graphics processing units), APIs (application programming interfaces), and SoCs (system on a chip units) for computers, automatic electric vehicles, and smartphones.
Meanwhile, the History Computer report explains that the man with the real name Huang Jen-Hsun was born in Taipei on February 17 1963 and spent his childhood in Taiwan and Thailand.
However, because the Vietnam War continued to rage and made Southeast Asia unsafe (including Thailand), Jensen’s parents decided to send their children to Oneida, Kentucky, United States.
Not long after that he and his family moved again to Oregon, USA and lived there for quite a long time. Jensen spent middle school and college in that state.
Since he was young, he has been known as a hard worker. Even when he was in high school, Jensen was also known to have worked at one of the fast food restaurant chains, Denny’s.
After completing his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Oregon State University (1980-1984), Jensen worked at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. until 1985. At that company, Jensen was responsible for designing and manufacturing microprocessors.
Then he continued his career at LSI Logic until 1993 before founding Nvdia. At the same time, in 1990-1992, he continued his Masters at Stanford University with the same major, namely electrical engineering.
