Moore’s Law no longer applies largely because we are reaching the physical limits of transistor miniaturization. In processors, transistors are getting so small that it is increasingly difficult and more expensive to shrink them further. There are issues related to heat, strength of materials, and quantum phenomena that make it difficult to work at such a microscopic level.

As a result, increasing computing power through analytics is not as fast as it used to be. Now manufacturers have to look for other ways to increase performance – for example, develop artificial intelligence, optimize software, use different types of cores (as in the ARM architecture) or combine several processors in one one device.

I will also add that this principle was designed by Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Intel, in 1965. Although this has been working for several decades, today the pace of growth is starting to grow slower as transistor miniaturization reaches its physical limits.
