Jennifer Love Hewitt is negotiating a role in the horror movie sequel I Know What You Did Last Summer. Sony Pictures is working on a new film in the series and have also asked Freddie Prinze Jr. in addition to Love Hewitt, reports Deadline.
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is attached to direct the project, Neal H. Moritz as producer, and Leah McKendrick as scriptwriter. Production of the sequel is “in its early stages”.
Love Hewitt and Prinze Jr. have according to Deadline held talks with the makers to reprise their roles in the 1997 film and its 1998 sequel. In addition, the cast will mainly consist of new actors.
I Know What You Did Last Summer is about a group of friends bound together by a tragic accident. They are at the mercy of each other again when they are stalked by someone who claims to know what they did last summer.
