Jennifer Lopez has been recording songs about her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck for her new album.
The ‘Jenny From The Block’ star has released a new album called ‘This Is Me…Now’, a sequel to her previous album ‘This Is Me…Then’, and has poured her love for Ben into her music. after they got back together.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, he explained: “I was captured in this moment where I met the love of my life and we decided we would be together forever. The full message of the album then is: ‘This love exists. This is true love.’ Now I think the message of the album is a lot if you wonder if, like me at times, you have lost hope, almost given up, don’t, because true love exists and some things last forever and it’s real. .”
Jennifer was previously engaged to Ben, but they broke up in 2004 before they could exchange vows before getting back together in 2021 and finally walking down the aisle this summer.
The singer admits it’s been hard to show her vulnerable side in her new songs, but she’s glad she was open and honest.
Jennifer continued: “I want to put that message [of true love] going out into the world and that requires a lot of vulnerability. But I couldn’t stop and some parts scared me. And I think some parts scare Ben too. It’s like, ‘Oh, do you really mean all of this stuff?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know how else to do it, honey.
Her previous album, ‘This Is Me…Then’ was about her former relationship with Ben, and Jennifer admits that he is a huge fan of the record.
He added, “Love that album. Love that music. You know all the words. You know what I mean? It’s crazy. He was even with me while I was making it.”
Jennifer plans to release “This Is Me… Now” in 2023.
