Jennifer Lopez performs at Global Citizen Live

Jennifer Lopez has been added to the lineup of Global Citizen Live, a benefit concert. The organization announced this on Instagram on Monday, to which J.Lo responded: “I can’t wait. See you soon, New York.”

With the concert, the initiators of Global Citizen Live draw attention to climate change, famine and equality in the distribution of corona vaccinations. Events also take place in Paris, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, London, Seoul, Los Angeles and Sydney.

It was previously announced that Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd will perform at the worldwide event on September 25, among others. In addition, BTS, Demi Lovato, Coldplay and dozens of other artists are present. All concerts are also streamed live on YouTube

The event is part of Global Citizen’s year-long campaign to end the coronavirus pandemic and contribute to global recovery. The organization also focuses on protecting the planet, promoting equality and access to education. The previous Global Citizen benefit, in May, raised more than $125 million.
