The American singer called for “to be grateful for what we have, and to cherish every moment” during a concert hosted by the ABC channel in New York.
Jennifer Lopez ignited the stage Thursday night, during the traditional concert New Year’s Rockin Eve, hosted annually by ABC Channel in Times Square. In the middle of her performance, the American singer addressed viewers in a moving message.
“2020 is over. We got through it. I think back to the start of the year, when I was able to achieve one of the biggest performances of my life,” J-Lo said, referring to his mid-year concert. – SuperBowl time alongside Shakira. “There were thousands of people. But tonight things are different, and it’s ok.”
“We have lost too many people”
“If this year has taught us anything, it’s to be grateful for what we have, and to cherish every moment,” added the star then overwhelmed by emotion, tears in her eyes. “We have lost too many people. Too many.”
“So tonight we’re going to live, we’re going to love and we’re going to start dancing again, and keep dreaming,” Jennifer Lopez said, referring to her hit Dance Again, which she interpreted immediately after. “Twenty years ago I sang this song, and we’ve never needed it so much as tonight.”
