Jennifer Lopez announces a film to accompany her new album, “This Is Me… Now”

Jennifer Lopez is known for making it big; the singer has just revealed on her social networks that her next opus, This Is Me… Now, will be accompanied by a film inspired by his music. Both will be released on February 16, 2024.

Jennifer Lopez promised a “complete musical experience” and that’s what she will offer her admirers. In addition to offering a first studio album in almost a decade – which will mark the 20^e record anniversary This Is Me… Then –, she has just revealed the first images of her musical film which will be broadcast on Prime Video.

We see a succession of scenes in which the singer follows choreographies, accompanied by dancers and dressed in costumes from all eras. Each extract takes us into a distinct universe. “When I was little and people asked me what I wanted to do, I answered that I wanted to be… in love,” she says at the opening of the clip.

Described by director Dave Meyers as “an immersive, genre-defining cinematic experience,” this musical film will be available in more than 240 countries.

It is also called an “extravagant visual and audio feast with impressive choreography, star cameos, costumes, sets and visuals worthy of a blockbuster,” according to the magazine. Rolling Stone.

A year ago, Lopez announced the release of a new project with a video posted on her social media. The diva recreated the cover of her 2002 album This Is Me… Then, then we saw her take off her hat to show herself as she is in 2022, saying: “It’s me… now!”

The words The Musical Experience 2023 appear on the screen to end the short clip.

This Is Me… Then was one of Lopez’s most successful albums, featuring songs like the iconic Jenny From the Block, I’m Glad et All I Have with LL Cool J.
