On Sunday evening Norwegian time, a number of American media reported that Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé Ben Affleck have obtained a marriage license.
Among the media covering the news is NBC News and People.
The license is said to have been obtained in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to court documents obtained by, among others, People.
However, there was confusion when Lopez was photographed in Los Angeles around the same time she allegedly married.
Now, however, the couple can confirm that they have become husband and wife.
– We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is nice. And it turns out that love is patient. 20 years of patience, Lopez writes in a statement according to Fox News.
– Exactly as we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for the license with four other couples, all on their way to the world’s wedding capital, she writes further.
Lopez says that the other couples came from different places around the country.
– We all wanted the same thing – that the world should look at us as a married couple and to declare our love for the world through the ancient and almost universal symbol of marriage.
The singing star also shared a picture of herself and her husband.
