Jennifer Lawrence didn’t stand a chance on Twilight. As the American Oscar winner revealed during the podcast The Rewatchables, she only made it to the first round of the vampire saga casting. “They rejected me immediately. I wasn’t even invited to the next round,” the 32-year-old recalled.
Instead of the role of Bella Swan, which at the time went to her fellow actress Kristen Stewart, Lawrence took on the leading role of Katniss Everdeen in the novel adaptation “The Hunger Games” a few years later. In the years 2012 to 2015 she was in front of the camera for four episodes of the cinema success.

The actress – who is married to art dealer Cooke Maroney and gave birth to their son a year ago – also revealed she felt a fear of fame early in her Hollywood career. “It wasn’t my plan, I just wanted to make good movies,” said Lawrence, who won an Oscar for the romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook a decade ago.
