Jennifer Aniston Remembers Her Beloved Dolly: Her Late German Shepherd Puppy

Jennifer Aniston (54) is still mourning the loss of a beloved member of her Fell family, her dog Dolly. She made it public with a post on Instagram.

For two photos showing the white shepherd as a cute puppy, the Hollywood star wrote about a red heart: “Dolly forever.” She raised the dog with her ex-husband Justin Theroux (51). The former couple announced Dolly’s death in 2019.

Alongside the photos, Aniston also posted a video showing a wind chime hanging from a tree in her yard. Engraved on it are the words “In Memory of Dolly”.

Aniston’s 42.2 million followers were quick to show their support. She got 1.7 million likes for the sad post (as of Sunday morning).

Colleague Isla Fisher (47) commented: “Sending you so much love. Dolly was so sweet. It seems like just yesterday she was a puppy. Time flies.” Other celebrity friends including Lindsay Lohan, 36, Michelle Pfeiffer, 65, Salma Hayek, 56, Jenna Dewan, 42, Olivia Wilde, 39, and many more also expressed their condolences in various comments.

Justin Theroux’s comment, which included a series of emojis – connected heart, dog paws, rainbow – also made fans’ hearts leap for joy.

Theroux first broke the news of Dolly’s death four years ago in a harrowing Instagram post:

“Tonight, as the sun was setting, after a heroic battle… our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A., laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family. RIP Dolly,” he concluded his post.
