Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The twitter universe suddenly enlivened with chatter about Jenius, a digital banking service from PT Bank BTPN Tbk. The reason is, Jenius will charge a fee of IDR 10,000 per month starting January 2021.
In his statement, Jenius explained that the fees referred to as Feesible will be charged to all users, except for the official payroll partner of Jenius from Bank BTPN.
“In accordance with bank policy, Feesible are valid for all Jenius users as of January 2021. For now, there is no option to unsubscribe,” wrote a statement in the information about Feesible Jenius, Thursday (12/11/2020).
The basis for this fee is to support Jenius’ future innovation. Jenius ensures that everything remains transparent and the fees incurred for Feesible remain affordable.
The Feesible fee will be charged to Jenius users every month by withdrawing IDR 10,000 from the active balance. “If your Active Balance is empty or less than IDR 10,000, the feesible for that month will be charged back regularly,” wrote Jenius’s statement.
Since its launch until today, Jenius is free of charge. Even a number of services such as bank transfers and digital wallet top ups are also free of charge.
