Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Jeka Saragih managed to make an impressive debut in UFC Vegas 82 with a knockout victory over Lucas Alexander in just 91 seconds.
Since the fight started, Jeka has been actively trying to find gaps in Alexander’s defense. Alexander, who was superior in reach, tried to make a take down movement but was blocked by Jeka.
Jeka was hit by a blow from Alexander’s left hand. But Jeka did not waver and continued to stand.
Alexander then tried to be more aggressive by continuing to pressure Jeka. There was an exchange of blows and Alexander fell.
Jeka Saragih saw that moment as a golden opportunity. He tried to press Alexander, who was still in a fallen position on the mat.
Alexander then tried to stand up and ran behind Jeka to regain distance. Jeka saw a good opportunity to throw a punch. Jeka’s right punch hit Alexander’s face hard.
Alexander lost his balance and fell. Jeka then threw a combination of attacks with punches and the referee stopped the match and declared Jeka Saragih the winner by knockout.
Jeka Saragih also successfully made his UFC debut with a fantastic victory. A knockout win in the first round could be valuable capital and increase Jeka’s confidence for the next matches.
