The Jegou-Auradou case has accelerated in recent days. The judicial center of Mendoza, in Argentina, welcomed within its walls the protagonists of the case. The complainant, Tuesday August 6, a 39-year-old woman who accuses Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou of rape with violence. Then the two players of the XV of France, Thursday 8.
The courts have thus heard each side’s version. The two young men (21 years old) are being charged and placed under house arrest in this case.

Among the important elements of the case are WhatsApp messages exchanged between the complainant and a close friend in the hours following the alleged events, which allegedly occurred on the night of July 6 to 7.
Voice messages, the content of which was leaked to the Argentine press. The newspaper Clarin relates them, and their authenticity has been confirmed at Parisian-Today in France by the plaintiff’s lawyers. Here is their content.

The young woman, addressing her friend, begins: “Thank you for the support, for everything. I met a French rugby player. The guy is really tall. So handsome, so handsome. I got home at 9 in the morning. At 9! I owe you everything, you encouraged me not to stay here with (his daughter’s first name), at home, always the same story. When I go out, I take advantage of it. He had a blast. He had a blast.”
She continued: “He grabbed my cheek and left little bruises on my face, on my jaw, on my ass, scratches on my back. You can’t imagine, what a huge little prick.”

In response to the content of these messages, the complainant’s brother raised the issue with the Parisian “an intimate conversation between two friends still a little under the influence of alcohol.” According to him, “this is not a valid element in comparison with the marks that appear on her body; very telling.”
Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou’s lawyer requested their release on Thursday, August 8. The courts are expected to provide a response on Monday. The request could be accepted, and the players authorized to return to France. However, all the charges against them will not be dropped.
