Jeff Lowe (53) is among the people TV viewers got to know in the Netflix success “Tiger King”. He entered the series as the somewhat dubious party boy, who later took over Joe Exotic’s zoo.
Friday night reports TMZ that Lowe was taken to hospital earlier this month, something his wife Lauren confirms to tabloid newspapers. The TV profile is said to have suffered a stroke and was found unconscious at a casino in Oklahoma.
– I thought he died in my arms, says his wife, who adds that he was quickly transported to hospital by air ambulance.
Lauren further claims that someone is said to have tried to dope her husband, but that the doctors have not yet found the cause of the stroke.
Several tests have also not revealed that anything unusual was found in Lowe’s blood. After three days in hospital, the TV profile will now be back home, but according to his wife will struggle with coordination and speech.

– We are prepared
Jeff Lowe came into “Tiger King” apparently as a saving angel, who was to get GW Zoo and Joe Exotic out of the money problems. It turned out, however, that he did not have clean flour in the bag (he either), and he ends up being one of those who make sure to get Exotic behind the walls.
In August last year, Lowe was also able to reveal that the tiger park was closed – for good. He announced the decision in a Facebook posts, and blamed the pressure from the animal protection organization Peta for choosing to close.
“The ‘Tiger King’ phenomenon has definitely changed our lives in many ways. It has given us more attention than anything man deserves, for better or worse “, he wrote in the post.

“It has, and probably will, continue to make us a target for every animal rights activist in the world, but we are prepared,” he continued.
The 53-year-old further wrote that he had voluntarily handed in the license that has given him permission to buy and sell the big cats, to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), because the park is closing.
