The whole travel network Jeff Bezos into space on Tuesday (20/7) completed in about 10 minutes 18 seconds, from the launch of the rocket to the New Shepard capsule landing safely on Earth.
The rocket made by Blue Origin, a company owned by Bezos, began to move vertically into the sky from the runway at 8:15 pm WIB. Then about 16 seconds later the capsule began to move slowly around giving the astronauts a 360-degree view.
Then New Shepard disengaged from the boost rocket and continued its flight into space. Meanwhile the rocket landed perfectly vertically on the runway.
New Shepard entered the highest point of its flight, more than 104 kilometers from Earth’s surface. Currently Bezos and three other astronauts are experiencing weight loss, as if without gravity.
All capsule passengers can unbuckle their seat belts and then float in the cabin while looking at Earth and space.
The astronauts lost weight due to the capsule rocket’s thrust and had little effect on gravity, until eventually the thrust was exhausted and gravity began to pull it back. This gives the extreme sensation of what it feels like to be at the top of the rails roller coaster.
After getting the experience, the capsule descends back to Earth, then three large parachutes hold its speed down until it lands safely.
Bezos and three other astronauts, namely Mark Bezos, Wally Funk, and Oliver Daemen, were the first four people to successfully board the Blue Origin spacecraft.
After passing the check, the four people came out of the capsule and were greeted by the family. Bezos came out wearing a cowboy hat.
“Best day,” Bezos said while in the capsule.
