Iyad el-Baghdadi, a stateless Palestinian born in Kuwait in 1977, is a democracy and human rights activist living in political asylum in Norway. He describes himself as an “Islamic libertarian”, is a vehement critic of authoritarian regimes in the Middle East and especially the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, often only called MbS. Baghdadi heads the Kawaakibi Foundation, which is committed to liberating the Muslim world from tyranny and, among other things, observes digital disinformation campaigns.
