On the occasion of the broadcast of Tuche 3 on TF1, we ask ourselves the following question: will we be entitled to a 5th part after episode 4 released in cinemas in December 2021?
In 4 films, the Tuches have brought together more than 14 million spectators! Jeff and his completely crazy family are therefore well anchored in the hearts of the spectators. The latter love to follow the adventures of these 6 colorful fanatics.
Directed by Olivier Baroux and carried in particular by Jean-Paul Rouve and Isabelle Nanty, will the saga be entitled to a 5th opus? During the release of Tuche 4 in December 2021, the director mentioned the subject at the microphone of BFM TV.
“We found an idea that we like, which is crazy, completely crazy. We asked the whole team if the desire was there, we told the story to the actors, they said ok, let’s go! “he confided.
The filmmaker had even given himself a main objective: “We have settled: shooting spring 2023, release February 2024”, he assured. Questioned by December 6, 2021, he confessed his wish to make the Tuches a franchise as long as Star Wars.
“It’s unique to have a family saga that comes back every three years and moves forward with the times. It would be a shame to stop. For Star Wars, they’re well up to 12 films, so I don’t see why we wouldn’t go as far as them! As long as we have ideas and good health, we’ll make Tuche films”he hammered.
After Les Tuche in America, at the Elysée and in a Christmas story, what story can they embark on now? “It’s a sensitive matter and I’m keeping it a secret until the script is written… Otherwise, I’m going to get beaten up! But I have an idea that seems crazy to me, we’ll see if it holds up. road. With these characters, I have the chance to do what I want and, for a director, it’s very cool”said Olivier Baroux.
THE TUCHE IN THE STRATOSPHERE?
On the other hand, no chance of seeing Jeff Tuche and his gang eat fries in space or other antics of this kind:
“We will never make a story like that. We will always try to find something original without sending the Tuches to the other side of the universe or putting them in a twisted situation. We will always talk about them, about their family and their feelings towards society. I hope that Jeff will remain himself, and even if he finds it difficult to understand the world, that he will evolve”said the director.
At the microphone of AlloCiné, Jean-Paul Rouve nuanced the words of Olivier Baroux: “Be careful, it’s not because we have an idea that we will have a film. An idea, you have to work on it. Sometimes, you can realize while developing, while working, that it does not hold up. road on a film. So all that is always very fragile.”
NOT TUCHE TO TUCHE?
Olivier Baroux also revealed that he plans to hand over to another director in the future, who may be able to inject new blood into the saga:
“Probably for the sixth part. I don’t have a particular name to give yet. I’m afraid of making the film too much, and it’s good to renew with a younger director. And I say well younger, because if he’s older, I don’t agree!”he asserted.
“This person will have to bring something else. In any case, I will always be writing, it seems logical to me”he adds to the microphone of Télé Loisirs. “In the new generation, I love Tarek Boudali and the band of Philippe Lacheau. They are not afraid of anything. I like the friendship that binds them, their team side, their loyalty. Each in turn, they make their film and help each other… It’s a hit too!”he concluded.
