The new Land Rover Defender in the basic version is equipped with a 2.0-liter Ingenium turbodiesel with a capacity of 240 horsepower and a torque of 430 Nm. Transmission – 8-speed “automatic”, weight – 2.4 tons, price – 56 thousand pounds.
For contrast, a classic Defender with a 2.2-liter 122-horsepower (360 Nm) turbodiesel and 6-speed “mechanics” was put up against modern SUVs. Frame Land Rover weighs 2.1 tons, but costs only 33 thousand pounds – almost three times cheaper than Gelenevagen.
