A few weeks ago, JL Bourg announced the departure of its coach Savo Vucevic in June 2021. The Bresse club reveals the identity of its successor for the next three seasons. This is Laurent Legname, the current coach of JDA Dijon.
In the summer of 2021, a new cycle will start well within the JL Bourg. The management of the current 3rd Jeep Elite has chosen Laurent Legname (43) to replace Savo Vucevic, we learned in a press release this Thursday morning. For its part, JDA Dijon thanks the Var technician for his investment, even if the club already regrets his future departure.
“Laurent Legname wanted to activate his contractual exit clause. As a result, he will not perform his last year of contract on the bench of Jeanne for the 2021-2022 season. Before being a recognized coach, Laurent Legname had made a name for himself as a player at Hyères-Toulon. It was then in the coach costume that he flourished, first with his faithful to his favorite club, then at JDA Dijon, which he gradually led to the heights of French basketball and even European. Fifth in the 2017-18 season, third in 2018-19, winner of the Leaders Cup in 2020, bronze medalist in BCL this season… His departure will be regretted in Côte d’Or.
The coach is committed to Ain for three seasons and will appear at the a press conference tonight at 6.30 p.m. on YouTube. While waiting for this new adventure, the current season is far from over. Each on their side, Laurent Legname and Savo Vucevic, both leading their team in the top 3 of Jeep Elite, will try to get a title at the end of the season.
