GLOBAL CAR, GLOBAL RESTYLING – The second generation of the Jeep Compass is a car sold globally and has been marketed since 2016 in all major countries in the world. Now it’s updated, starting with China, where the version for the local market was unveiled at the recent Guangzhou Auto Show. In 2021 the one for Europe will arrive, produced in the Lucanian factory of Melfi.
SLIGHT CHANGES – Stylistically, the Jeep Compass 2021 adopts minor changes concentrated in the front headlights which now contain the daytime running lights, which previously were in the fascia above the fog lights. There is also a new grille, embellished with chrome trim, and a revamped bumper, with an unprecedented horizontal pattern under the typical Jeep grille. The taillights are unchanged in shape, but have new led lights.
MORE MODERN – The Jeep Compass it has been revised more inside. The dashboard has a more modern appearance and in line with current trends: the multimedia system, and the screen from which it is controlled (it is 10.1 “, against the 8.4” of the previous one), is located higher in the center console and is cantilevered, while at the bottom there are the climate controls, also renewed. For the rear seats come the central air vents.
DIGITAL DASHBOARD – In addition, the Jeep Compass adopts a brand new 10.25 ”screen for the dashboard facing the driver. The steering wheel with a slimmer central section is also new. Finally, the tunnel has a new Select Terrain selector, the system that uses electronics to improve the response of the engine and transmission to the road surface.
SAME ENGINES? – The engines of the European version they should be the same as the previous edition, therefore the turbo petrol turbo 1.3, the turbo diesel 16. and the plug-in hybrid.
