“Jeep Avenger: The First Pure Electric Car from the Smallest Jeep in 2023”

The smallest jeep is also the brand’s first pure electric car, and its components come from the shared warehouses of the Stellantis concern. Don’t expect reductions and differential locks or even a frame structure – its basis is the “self-supporting” eCMP and 156 electric horses drive only the front wheels.

However, a rather large departure from the brand’s traditions did not prevent the judges of the European Car of the Year from awarding the car the highest award for 2023. And the Czech importer is exhibiting it at the Legends motoring festival, taking place this weekend at the Holešovice Exhibition Center in Prague, so it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to look at it in detail.

With a length of less than 4.1 meters, it is a really small car – significantly smaller than the Škoda Kamiq. This is especially noticeable inside, where there is really no room to spare. It’s no problem behind the wheel, but in order for someone to fit in the back seats, the person in front has to be really small. I can’t “take care of myself”.

Just like the technical information, the controls also scream “Peugeot” – you would look for UConnect infotainment here in vain. However, this is not necessarily bad, the latest generation of infotainment from the French branch of the Stellantis concern is excellent, and the avenger complements it with physical buttons for controlling the climate control.

I also like the push-button gear selector, hidden under the center console. There are two decent-sized storage compartments and, despite its inclusion in the car manufacturer’s portfolio, the Avenger also offers luxury features such as a wireless mobile phone charger.

The interior will offer decent materials and overall it looks quite comfortable – just like the modern products of the Stellantis concern, but unlike such a renegade, which has a lot to catch up in terms of quality of workmanship.

The Avenger doesn’t have all-wheel drive yet, but it’s said to be coming soon. For now, three different driving modes for places where there is no asphalt must be enough for him, and the ground clearance of 200 mm is not to be thrown away either. However, we will only test how it works in the standard test.

The car has already gone on sale at a price of almost 900,000 crowns. In the Czech Republic, it will be available exclusively with an electric drive.
