ONE CAR, THREE ENGINES – The engine range of the small SUV is growing Jeep Avenger, which is enjoying great success in Italy. The new is added to the classic electric and petrol models e-Hybridwhich combines a new generation 1.2 PureTech 3-cylinder petrol engine, equipped with a variable geometry turbine, with an unprecedented change 6-speed dual clutch with inside an electric motor, with 28 HP and 55 Nm of torque, the inverter and the control unit. The electric unit is powered by a 48-volt battery that recharges while driving. Then there is a second electric motor connected to the 1.2 with the service belt, which is used as a power generator and starter motor. The overall power ofe-Hybrid and 100 CV.
A PARQUE IBRIDA – The Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid It is capable of traveling with the internal combustion engine switched off during city driving at speeds below 30 km/h, reaching up to 1 km of autonomy in electric mode on urban and extra-urban routes (in the case of regular driving), or when the driver releases the accelerator pedal. The electric mode is then used during short forward movements without using the accelerator, as well as during all parking phases. According to what was communicated by Jeep, the engine is capable of reduce emissions of CO2 up to 15% compared to a combustion unit with automatic transmission. Reduction which is also made possible thanks to Miller cycle (it uses a normal Otto cycle to which a variable intake timing system has been applied).
THE THREE SETUPS – On the occasion of the debut of Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid there is also an update to the range, which consists of three setups: Longitude, Altitude e Summit.
Il Longitude it includes 16-inch alloy wheels, full LED reflective front headlights and door handles in the same color as the body, gray underbody plates, 7″ digital instrument panel, speed regulator and front armrest. As regards the Adas we find the autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, keeping the vehicle on track and monitoring the driver’s attention.
The setup Altitude It adds 17-inch alloy wheels and silver skid plates. Inside we find premium fabric/vinyl seats, a height-adjustable load floor and a silver dashboard with inserts, eco-leather steering wheel, 10.25″ digital instrument panel, single-zone automatic climate control and adaptive cruise control.
Il Summit It offers 18-inch wheels, full LED headlights and taillights and tinted windows. Inside there is multi-colour LED lighting and a frameless photochromic rear-view mirror, hands-free opening and starting, a wireless charger, blind spot monitoring, a 180° rear-view camera and parking sensors. 360° parking, automatic high beam control, electric locking rearview mirror, hands-free tailgate and level 2 autonomous driving.
