Jean-Marie Bigard to be Tried in Criminal Court for Insults and Defamation Against Ex-Producer

After virulent remarks made by Jean-Marie Bigard on the plateau of Touche not at my post on September 13, the ex-producer of the comedian seized the criminal court of Draguignan. He is to be tried on Thursday, April 6.

Hard blow for Jean-Marie Bigard. The 58-year-old comedian must be judged this Thursday, April 6 by the Criminal Court of Draguignan for public insults and defamation. But what case is it? Back on this conflict which opposes him to his ex-producer Chrystel Camus.

It is a professional conflict which could have remained private, but given the personality of the two interested parties, it quickly found itself in the front of the media scene. The comedian Jean-Marie Bigard is in open war with his ex-producer Chrystel Camus who claims him 14 million euros.

This sum would correspond to the damage that she considers to have suffered after the cancellation of the show, a scheduled time, associating on stage Bigard and Dieudonne.

“The duet with Dieudonné, you have to forget it!”

Launched last July, the announcement of the 72-date tour had finally been quickly denied by the comedian who, after suggesting that his Instagram account had been hacked, now recognizes that he was actually planning to go on stage alongside Dieudonné.

Why did he backtrack? Because Laurent Baffie, Laurent Ruquier and his wife dissuaded him from it, he explained on September 13, facing Cyril Hanouna, on the set of TPMP. “The duet with Dieudonné, you have to forget it (…) There is nothing to gain, there are only huge blows to take“, justified the comedian of 68 years.

14 million euros claimed

This last-minute change is not to the liking of Chrystel Camus. The artist’s ex-producer explained that she had already sold tickets for the show and that this cancellation would be a source of significant financial loss for her.

“I cannot defend an artist who does not assume his production contract (…). If he does not do this show, at the end of our contract, I should start a procedure”, she explained on August 31, on the same set of TPMP. Damage amounting to 14 million euros by the producer.

The comedian responds

“I am saving little by little but for the moment …”, quipped Jean-Marie Bigard in the face of a hilarious Cyril Hanouna. The comedian explained that it was out of the question for him to pay in his usual flowery language.

Accompanied by his lawyer on the set of TPMP, Bigard questioned the status of producer of Chrystel Camus who he claims was unlicensed and bankrupt when she signed the contract.

For her part, the producer hastened to react in a video posted on social networks, to denounce a litany of “lies”.
