Five days before the first round of the presidential election, the candidate of rebellious France is in a meeting this Tuesday evening in Lille but also in eleven other cities thanks to his hologram. To give a facelift to his campaign, he reiterates his strategy by making full use of the card of new technologies.

He multiplies to hope to reach the second round. Jean-Luc Mélenchon will be in “multi-meeting” this Tuesday evening in Lille as well as in eleven other cities thanks to his hologram. The campaign ends Friday and the candidate for the presidential election oscillates between 15 and 16% of the voting intentions, at the gates of qualification for the second round. With this meeting evening, the rebellious wants above all to give a facelift to his campaign.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon knows it: if he wants to be in the second round, he must mobilize the youth. And for that, the rebellious makes full use of the card of new technologies and digital. Last January, the novelty was the immersive meeting with sound, image and smells. The hologram of his person will be broadcast in three dimensions in eleven cities in France.

A strategy to give access to a meeting to every French person

“We targeted medium-sized and working-class towns like Trappes, Le Havre or Metz”, analyzes a rebellious executive. Their strategy is clear: allow every Frenchman to take part in a meeting less than 200 kilometers from their home. To attract young people, Jean-Luc Mélenchon is launching an Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok filter with the same message.

“I teleport. On April 10, you have to vote. In this country, it’s the presidential monarchy. If you want that to change, you have to vote,” says the candidate. “If you don’t vote, the others will decide for you,” he adds. Its purpose is to empower voters five days before the first round.
