Jean-Louis Aubert or the secrets of longevity. Former band member Phone signs his tenth solo album, entitled Pavingunveiled on September 20. On the occasion of the release of this new project, the 69-year-old singer spoke to Sunday Newspaperin an interview published this Sunday, October 13. Asked about the meaning of the name of this new album, the artist then drew a parallel with his health. “It is a message of hope, however mixed with a slight worry. Even if I cannot ignore my age, my body does not hesitate to remind me of it every day, I always have the illusion of believing that things are not over for me,” he told journalist Ludovic Perrin.

In 2020, Jean-Louis Aubert had to undergo emergency heart surgery. If the songwriter is aware of the passage of time, he prefers to concentrate on his music. “Not being finished means not freezing your personality in a framework, maintaining this same desire to continue, to always start a record or a song again with the same childish innocence”, explains the musician who is not about to lack inspiration. “I was happy with this new album to see that the source has not dried up, quite the contrary: I still have around thirty songs knocking on the door!”, he shared enthusiastically JDD.

Jean-Louis Aubert speaks about his heart operation

In the columns of TV Magazine last September, the interpreter of That’s it, it’s over spoke about his urgent heart surgery which occurred in 2020. “I didn’t feel sick. Nothing. I just have a class friend, a great GP, who heard a suspicious noise with a stethoscope.” His doctor then sent him to the hospital due to severe shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Now recovered, he revealed that his misadventures were linked to a congenital malformation: “I could die at any moment, suddenly.”
